My problem

The previous story is here...How cozy! ...in the lobby

Around ten minutes later, my name was called. A member of staff led me to a changing room and asked me to change my clothes into a pajama-like suit. Although I had been worried about how long my check-up would take because I had to be at home by the time my children got home, each exam was takeing place very smoothly. The barium that I had to swallow before an X-RAY was absolutely off-putting, though. Other than that, everything went fine.
"It seems to me that there is nothing wrong with you," the doctor said. "However, I think you need to be careful of your eyes because you already suffer cataract for your age."
Cataract is a medical condition of the eye, and it makes your eye white instead of clear, so that you cannot see well. In my case, I don't feel any different at all. I can see everything with no problem. In fact, I hadn't realized the fact until I was diagnosed at the age of 30.

How cozy! ... in the lobby

The previous story is here..."Where am I?"

The man immediately noticed the envelope I was holding in my arm. Not waiting for my reply, he smiled at me and said, "Thank you for coming all the way. Please follow me." I made sure quickly where I was. Well, it was not a mistake anyway. The sign in the entrance hall said I was in the hospital. Feeling odd, I looked around without a word. The hall surely looked like the one of a hotel. The interior was quite chic, and everything in the massive hall caught my eyes.
I followed the man's lead and took the elevator to the 6th floor. There was another man waiting for me.
"Would you please be seated until everything is ready?"
He pointed at a sofa at the corner of the waiting room. The room was quite comfortable, not to mention the sofa I sat on. Although visitors and staff were coming in continuously, I didn't feel annoyed or bothered at all. Until the time my name was finally called, I was sitting on the cozy sofa reading my English books.

Where am I?

Yesterday, I went to a hospital for a medical check-up. I left home at 7:30 in order to avoid the busy streets in the morning. The road had been packed with many cars, but my driving was much more comfortable than I had expected. All I did was just to follow what the car navigation system said, though. It took only 30 minutes. A piece of cake. I looked up, and I was astounded to see the building.
"Is this .....a hospital? It cannot be."
As soon as I entered the hotel-like building, a man in a black suit accosted me in the lobby and said "What can I do for you?"

Check-ups!

I went to a hospital today for a medical check-up. I had to skip breakfast due to a stomach check-up, so I was quite starving by the time I got to the hospital. I was a bit nervous to be examined because it had been over 10 years since my last check-up. Well, in any event, everything is over now. There are many things I'd like to write about, but I've got to go now. Let me try writing about today's check-up next time.

I went to a COSTOCO in the next town with my neighbors yesterday. I'm not allowed to enter the shop alone because I don't have the membership card. I'm lucky to have a regular next door; she kindly invited me as her company.
I enjoyed spending time there. The atmosphere differed from the Japanese one was quite interesting to me. Having said that, I'm not particular about food and clothes. I was just happy to browse around with an almost-empty cart.
I bought my daughter's favorite fabric conditioner, an English magazine, a pack of seaweed and a box of oranges. That was all. Compared to others with their shopping carts full of stuff, I must have looked like a penny-pinching shopper.
