Eagle Eye

I went to see a film with one of my friends today. The movie was "Eagle Eye," which was produced by Steven Spielberg. I tried to write down every line I managed to understand, but I'm not sure whether they are correct or not. Would you please tell me if you find some mistakes?

What do you suggest we do?

Which is your recommendation?

You'll never have choice.

How do you know?

You should skip a blockbuster thing.

Here we go.

That's the way it goes.

I thought you might be sleeping.

So, where are you this time?

You do whatever you want.

I'll have to take you.

How did you get this number?

This is obviously a mistake, right?

When did you see him last time?

You think I'm a terrorist?

I don't care where you worked for.

This is insane.

This isn't funny.

Your phone has been monitored.

Can you walk and talk at the same time?

You don't have choice.

You need to call me as soon as you get this message.

What did you say your name was?

Maybe I'll have this clear.

Let's get going.

You've received the package?

You've got to stop him.

What's this about?

Nice spree.

I'm not kidding, either.

You can't just leave.

You're four minutes behind the schedule.

Don't even think about it.

We're not hiding.

Welcome to Eagle Eye.

We know who you are.

You're different from him every way.

I'm sorry what I said.

What does he look like?

Please tell me where I'm going.

Something wrong?

We can help each other.

I'll take you to your seat.

We can handle it.

Thank you for remembering.

I'm glad you're here.

Thank you for reading all of them. XD

Hi Emi,
I'm amazed you managed to take so many notes while watching it! Was it a good movie?

You'll never have choice.->You'll never have a choice.

You should skip a blockbuster thing. -- ??? Might be right, but I'd need to hear it in context to understand what it means.

I don't care where you worked for. -- This should probably be "I don't care where you worked" or "I don't care who you worked for", but it's possible they said what you heard.

You don't have choice. -> You don't have a choice.

Maybe I'll have this clear. -- ??? Might be right, but I'd need context.

Nice spree. -- ??? Again, not sure without the context.

You're four minutes behind the schedule. -> They may have said this, but "behind schedule" would be more natural.

I'm sorry what I said. -> More likely "I'm sorry for what I said" or "I'm sorry about what I said."

To Michael

Thanks! It seems to me that it's been a bit long time since I got your comment last time! XD How have you been? Everything is all right?
Like you said, it's surely tough for me to follow a story with my notebook. It's also fun to me! I tend to miss "a" and "for" in conversation. Umm...I need to keep studyng!
I like this movie, by the way. It is said that Steven, the director of this film, came up with its story around 10 years ago. This is why some people say, "The film looks old!" or "I can foresee what it is happening."
I don't mind at all. If you want to come alive, this film could be your vitamin. XD

Hi Emi,
Things have been pretty challenging lately, but as they say, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!" I'm trying, but I think I need to put more sugar into it. ^_^

I'm a bit of a sucker for thrillers, so Eagle Eye is right up my alley. Surprisingly I'm not a big James Bond fan, but things like Enemy of the State, Body of Lies, or The Bourne Ultimaatum definitely appeal to me. Of course, since I had a small role in Enemy of the State, that might explain my interest a little. ^^; Then again, it probably has much more to do with my father having worked for the National Security Agency. Most likely his job wasn't thrilling at all, but as a kid I always imagined it to be. ^_^

To Michael

I like your way to say : "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!" I'm trying, but I think I need to put more sugar into it. I'd like to say like you do when I'm in trouble from now!

Wait a minute, by the way! You did have a role in "Enemy of the States"!? Where can I find you? Where are you in the film?

Hehe... good luck finding me! Don't try too hard.

There's a chase scene where Will Smith is running through the streets of Washington DC, and I'm one of the people he runs past. I was about 20 or 21 at the time it was filmed, around 183cm tall, 72kg or so, dark brown hair, light skin, wearing a leather jacket that was a bit too small for me.

I'm only visible for half a second, maybe not even that long, but I have no doubt that, even without speaking a word, my role was crucial for making Enemy of the State a success. ^^;

Anyway, it was fun being in a movie even if I was just in the background. I'm also in The Pelican Brief, briefly, riding an escalator in a subway station.

Sadly, that has been the whole extent of my film career so far. I'm still waiting for my big break. Maybe Will Smith will remember me and call me up someday to star alongside him in another film. ^^;

To Michael

Hello, Michael! Is it okay for you to share your picture on this blog? It is' problem, let me know. I can handle this.
I've been watching the movie two nights in a row; however, like I mentiond in my latest diary, I'm not in a good condition; I haven't finished it yet!!! This movie is so exciting. I love this. First and foremost, I need to be careful to find you.

Hi Emi,
Please take good care of yourself. Getting well is far more important than finding my split-second appearance in a movie.

On your advice, I removed the link to my picture. Generally I don't mind anyone knowing what I look like (or in this case, what I looked like a long time ago), but I guess I should keep that to myself when online.

To Michael

Woops! I should have looked at your picture twice! You removed before my checking again. XD Anyway, there are a lot of people in the world, so I guess this would be a good decision to protect ourselves. In any event, we can see how you look when your film comes out! Keep it up, Michael. I'm looking forward to seeing you in films.
Unfortunately, I haven't found you yet...where were you? There are several scenes in which Will Smith was running, so I'm confused. The problem is, I don't know what Washington DC is like! Sorry to be clueless, but would you please give me more hints?

Hi Emi,
You should just relax and recover your health this week and not worry about finding me. I'll rent the DVD this weekend, locate the scene, and take a screenshot to show you, okay?

By the way, I found a site where you can read movie and TV scripts online: www.simplyscripts.com/full_movie.html

Maybe you'd find it helpful for checking your listening comprehension when you take notes on movies. I didn't see Eagle Eye, but it has many other film scripts to choose from.

Do you know of something like that in Japanese, for Japanese movies and/or TV shows? I tried Googling but couldn't come up with anything. Probably I didn't know the right words to search for.

Hi Emi

Are you okay?
You might have a cold...
Please take care of yourself.
Do not work too much.

By the way, I thank Michael san for informing us the script online website.
I can check "Shawshank Redemption"perfectly, at last.

Sincerely
Yuko

To Michael

Thank you for your kind word. I'll follow your advise. Today, I saw a doctor to relieve my pain in my back. This was my first time to try acupuncture. Let me write about this experience later here.
By the way, sorry to be clueless, I'm not sure about any site you've been looking for. Could you give me some time? I'll try to ask my friends!

To Yuko

Thank you! I took a nap yesterday afternoon, then I felt better last night. Maybe I need to take a break. Unfortunately, it's hard for me to do! XD
