Coffee Morinig
I joined "Coffee Morning," which is hour-long free conversation time at Alison's English school. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, English learners can enjoy chatting with a native speaker over a cup of coffee or tea. What's more, it costs only 500yen. How lovely!
I can recall the first time to visit Alison's school. Around that time, I was eager to study English, but I couldn't find any appropriate place for me. I needed to be with my 4-year-old son all day and I couldn't attend any English class with him. Right before giving up, I found her.
I have been busy these days and missed some chances to see her, but today I'm very happy to know that she has been waiting for me. She is not just a teacher but also my friend. I've learned a lot from her and her wonderful time "Coffee Morning."

Actually, I used to ask her about the same question. ;-) For one thing, "Coffee Morning" doesn't mean to be a lesson. There is no textbook and no guideline(maybe), and participants need to speak up if they want to say something. "Coffee Morning" is kind of a social occasion. I find it beautiful and I'm so happy to join.
She has been sharing her precious time with us, that's because she enjoys communicating with people. She doesn't need to be a teacher in "Coffee Morinig." She is just a friend of us during the time. XD

I was wondering how come she can give Japanese a seemingly free lesson.
Does her lesson relate to a religion?
‘Cause I think that there are some Christians who are willing to offer a lesson free of charge.
Otherwise, what does she want in return???
Sincerely
Yuko
